Terms of Service
Last updated 15 July 2026
These Terms are an agreement between you and Important Small Things Limited, registered in England & Wales (company no. 16431951; registered office 71–75 Shelton Street, Covent Garden, London, United Kingdom, WC2H 9JQ), trading as "ClubSquareOne" ("we", "us"), governing your use of the ClubSquareOne game and website (the "Service"). By creating an account or using the Service you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you don't agree, don't use the Service.
1. Eligibility & accounts
- You must be at least the minimum age shown at sign-up — currently 18, and never lower than 13.
- Where the minimum age permits accounts for users under 18: users aged 13–17 may use the Service only with a parent or guardian's permission; in-game chat is unavailable on under-18 accounts (it becomes available automatically at 18); and we never send marketing email to under-18 accounts. If you believe an account belongs to a child below the minimum age, contact support@clubsquareone.com and we will investigate and remove it.
- You need an account to play; during the beta, sign-up is invite-only.
- Give accurate information — including your date of birth (month and year), used to verify the minimum age and apply the protections above — and keep your credentials secure. You're responsible for activity under your account; don't share it, and tell us if you suspect unauthorised use.
- One account per person unless we agree otherwise.
2. The Service (beta)
ClubSquareOne is a persistent multiplayer life-sim in active development. Features may change, break, or be added/removed; the Service may be unavailable at times; and in-game progress, items, or currency may be reset while we develop and balance the game. It's provided "as is" and "as available" (see section 7).
3. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- harass, threaten, bully, defame, or post hateful or unlawful content;
- scam, defraud, or deceive other players;
- cheat, exploit bugs, use bots or automation, scrape, or otherwise interfere with the game, its economy, other players, or our systems or security;
- circumvent access controls, rate limits, the invite gate, or any security measure;
- reverse-engineer or copy the Service except as the law permits;
- impersonate others, or use an offensive, infringing, or impersonating display name;
- spam chat, or upload malware; or use the Service for any illegal purpose.
4. Your content & chat
You're responsible for what you submit, including your display name and chat. You grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host and display it to run the Service. Chat is real-time and visible to other players nearby — treat it as public. Chat messages are kept for up to 30 days so our moderators can review reported behaviour in context, then deleted (see the Privacy Policy). Chat is unavailable on under-18 accounts (section 1). We may remove content and suspend or terminate accounts that breach these Terms.
5. Virtual items & in-game currency
In-game currency and items have no real-world monetary value, are not your property, can't be exchanged for money or transferred outside the game, and may be modified or removed. We currently offer no purchases; if we add them, additional terms will apply.
6. Intellectual property
The Service and its content — including code, design, and AI-generated art and audio — are owned by us or our licensors. We grant you a limited, personal, non-transferable, revocable licence to play for your own non-commercial enjoyment. Don't copy or redistribute it except as the law allows.
7. Disclaimers
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind. We don't warrant it will be uninterrupted, secure, error-free, or that progress or data will be preserved — especially during the beta.
8. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential losses, or loss of data, progress, or in-game items. Nothing here excludes liability that can't be excluded under English law (such as for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or fraud), and your statutory consumer rights are unaffected.
9. Suspension & termination
We may suspend or terminate access for breach or to protect the Service or its users. You may delete your account anytime from your account page (this permanently erases your data — see the Privacy Policy). Terms that should survive termination will continue to apply.
10. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms; the date above shows the latest version, and we'll notify you of material changes — we may also ask you to re-accept the updated Terms before you continue playing. Continued use after changes take effect means you accept them.
11. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of England & Wales, whose courts have non-exclusive jurisdiction. If you're a consumer, you keep any mandatory protections of your country of residence.
12. Support, reports & contact
- Support and complaints: support@clubsquareone.com. You can report another player in-game (right-click their character → Report…) or by email, and block a player in-game (right-click → Block). Parents/guardians may contact us on a child's behalf.
- Appeals: if we've removed your content or restricted your account and you think we got it wrong, email support@clubsquareone.com within 28 days and we'll review the decision.
- General/legal: clubsquareone@importantsmallthings.com (Important Small Things Limited, trading as ClubSquareOne).
